the depth of confrontation…

this post is for the shore crowd. i have been getting emails, facebook messages, and myspace messages about the spiritual warfare since the consumed retreat last weekend, so i though i would share some thoughts in relation to all the provoking.

everything God does is birthed through warfare and confrontation. wherever Jesus went, He provoked warfare. demons would cry out while being provoked by His presence. if we are praying for of His presence and power, then we actually are praying for more warfare. we can only break through in confrontation. pressure produces a breakthrough or a breakdown, depending on our focus. fix your eyes on Jesus.

when we have an encounter with God’s presence and power, we become a threat to the kingdom of darkness. many of you at the retreat had significant encounters with Jesus that will never allow you to be or function the same. heaven is desperate to come to earth through us, so when we align ourselves in positions for this to happen, all of hell is threatened.

demonic opposition brings us into greater power. it may seem like chaos is surrounding you. but, remember, that the earth was formless and chaotic while the Holy Spirit hovered over it all in the beginning. then God created order. chaos always precedes order. consider resistance a good thing. your are positioned for advancement. the God we serve is a God of war. God is not afraid of anything, nor is He upset or provoked by anything.

so, for all of you in the midst of battle, just know you will come into a greater measure of God’s anointing if you depend on Him. keep pressing into more of Him…there is ALWAYS more. you have the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead and the same one through which he raised the dead, healed the sick, and cast out demons.

also, the first level of spiritual warfare is always Spirit against flesh. the Holy Spirit doesn’t want a roomate, thus, he will attack flesh.

hope this helps some of you. keep me posted on things, i love hearing about what God is doing in your lives.

  1. Thank you, that was exactly the reminder I needed! I will keep pressing on and can’t wait to see what unfolds.

  2. Wow it has been so crazy for me! First I would like to say thanks! I am the girl with the chronic migraines and I haven’t had one or even a headache since! God is so good! But the spiritual warfare has been intense lately. God spoke to me and told me not to play college soccer anymore. So I let my coach know and told her God had another plan for me. Although she didn’t take it well. It has gotten pretty bad, but I am not going to let satin win.

Thank you again! You and your family are in my prayers!
