panama back…

just got back from doing the spring retreat for all of the alabama chi alpha’s in panama city, florida. i flew out friday and what was supposed to be a 10 hour journey turned into 18 1/2 hours. my flight was canceled, delayed three times, and the gate changed five times between 3 different terminals. so, the fruits of the Spirit were disintegrating quickly. all of this was happening in the busiest airport in the world: atlanta, ga. i missed speaking the first night. to add to the mixture of chaos was the fact that my luggage was lost, so i then had to speak the next morning in clothes that i had worn for 18 1/2 hours traveling, which is pure freshness.

so, i knew something really good was going to happen. josh and ginger hallmark, the chi alpha directors at auburn had their transmission go out and the brand new speakers for their sound system for the retreat were destroyed by water damage on the way down.

here is the skinny on what took place at the retreat, which was utterly amazing! i am having a hard time remembering how many exactly were healed because it was so many so quickly. i believe somewhere between 6-10 people were healed of scoliosis, back pain from back injuries, and back spasms. it was truly incredible. after praying for each person, we would have them test it out by doing something they couldn’t do like bending all the way over or bending backwards. student after student said things like, “i felt heat on my back, or electricity going up and down my spine”. another student was healed of a liver condition he came with that was causing tremendous pain. pain to the point that he couldn’t move without pain. well, he was dancing in worship because the pain said bye bye. there was also a girl who sent a text message prayer to her friend who had a brace on her foot with a ankle injury. she told her to put the phone over her ankle and God healed it…this is the 21st century version of the hankerchief.

words of knowledge and prophecy were flowing and the presence of God was so tangible. many of these students will never be the same. one student who testified of being healed of scoliosis then prayed for another girl for chronic neck pain. she then began to feel heat throughout her entire neck. hello Jesus. goodbye pain.

i am insanely tired, but so energized about what happened. the kingdom came. now, the students will take the kingdom to their campus. so much more took place at the retreat, but that gives you a nibble on the deliciousness of Jesus’ power. the Father sent Jesus to destroy the works of the devil [1 John 3:8] and Jesus says to us, “as the Father sent me, now i send you”.

He has given us His presence to destroy the works of the devil. our destiny is heaven, but our assignment is to bring heaven to earth. let’s bring it!
